Since October 1, 2026, Korean rail tickets (KTX, the former SRT and regular trains) go on sale two months before travel instead of one, at 7:00 am Korea time, on the same day of the month. This tool moves your travel date back two months and shows that morning, with a countdown. Korea has no daylight saving time, so the rule is the same all year.
When the same day doesn't exist two months earlier (Jan 31 → Nov 31), we found no official rule and show "unconfirmed". Lunar New Year and Chuseok trains sell in a separate holiday booking; the 2027 schedule hasn't been announced.
Two months, since October 1, 2026 (it used to be one). Tickets open on the same day of the month two months before travel: Dec 24 trains open on Oct 24.
7:00 am Korea time (KST, UTC+9), every day. Log in a few minutes early; the reminder file in this tool rings 10 minutes before.
No. Lunar New Year and Chuseok trains sell in a separate holiday booking announced by Korail. The 2027 Lunar New Year (Feb 6–9) schedule isn't out yet, so those dates show as unconfirmed.
Yes. KTX and SRT merged on September 1, 2026 and sell through the Korail+ app; SRT tickets also open two months ahead at 7:00 am.
No, each travel date has its own opening day. Add a return date to see both and get both reminders in one calendar file.
As reported: Monday–Thursday trains are free to cancel up to 3 hours before departure; Friday–Sunday and holiday trains cost ₩400 up to 2 days before, 5% the day before, 10% on the day. Check Korail's refund page for the exact amount.
Korail's own notice pages could not be read directly; the rule is checked against the government announcement as reported and articles quoting examples. Korail's notice is final.
