What we collect
- Your location choice is handled in your browser. It appears in the page address (for example
?loc=chicago-il) so you can share it, but we don't store it. - “Use my location” asks your browser for your position only when you tap it, and only to find the nearest location on our built-in list. The coordinates are never sent to us or anyone else.
- No accounts and no advertising cookies. We use Google Analytics to count visits: pages viewed, device and browser type, approximate location, and a few clicks (result shown, share/copy, links to our other tools). It never receives what you type or choose (the
?loc=part of the address is removed). GA sets_gacookies, kept up to 14 months. Details and opt-out: full privacy policy. - Hosting logs. Like any website, our hosting provider may keep standard technical logs (such as IP address, browser type and pages requested) for security and reliability.
Changes
If we add advertising or change how we use analytics, we will update this page before doing so, describe any cookies used, and explain your choices.
